The Ambler Family emigrated to Australia in 1958.  Two generations made the move from Preston in Lancashire, England to Woonona in NSW. 

Kenneth and Veronica Ambler with their two children Mary Christine and Edward Peter, came first, in June 1958 followed by Edward and Leah Ambler, Ken's parents.

Edward and Leah returned to England after 2 years, remained there for a short while and then came back to Australia - only to return to England after a few months.  After Leah's death in 1966, Edward returned to Australia, remarried and lived here until his death in the 1970s.

It was when Christine married Robert Sutton in 1967 that the Amblers and Suttons converged and the present two generations of children and grandchildren became the recipients of a rich and colourful heritage.
